Journal of Agriculture Food Systems and Community Development (JAFSCD)
The Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Community Development (JAFSCD) is the world's only peer-reviewed, transdisciplinary journal focused solely on food and farming-related community development. JAFSCD uses a double-blind peer-review process, with expert reviewers who include researchers, scholars, and food systems professionals in the field. JAFSCD is open access, so freely available to all, worldwide.
JAFSCD emphasizes best practices and tools related to the planning, community economic development, and ecological protection of local and regional agriculture and food systems, and works to bridge the interests of practitioners and academics.
North American Food Systems Network (NAFSN)
NAFSN is a professional association for people working together to strengthen local & regional food systems.
We work at the forefront of the food systems profession itself, providing networking opportunities, access to practitioner tools, career guidance, student chapters, webinars, and a curated jobs board for people at all levels of this critical-change work.
NAFSN also creates interactive learning experiences with the open-access, peer-viewed science of community food systems, published by our sister program, the Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Community Development (JAFSCD).
AgriCluster Retention and Expansion Program (ACRE)
The ACRE program will train a cohort of service providers to use strategic business planning tools and processes that engage all stakeholders in a value chain to work collectively in carving out and defending a market niche. The training will be provided through an online course + in-person sessions.
